I love fussy, elaborate embellished clothes. But when you get a piece that is cut so razor blade sharp and the material and colour are the higlight of the garment you cannot help but melt. That is what my dear friend Emilia Wickstead does. Emilia’s clothes are so effortlessly chic and easy to wear, made for the functional Chelsea girl. Emilia recently opened her own Atelier on Pont Street London, with the homey feel of French coutrier houses.
Vogue and JC Report are buzzing about this talent, doesn’t hurt that she’s a sweet heart and a really hard working person. Check out more of her collection on http://www.emiliawickstead.com/
Emilia’s Kristina Dress (in the photo below) is from Spring Summer 08/09. I’ve worn this dress so many times, it carries me through so many different functions, occasions and yes, seasons!
The jacket is colarless, hand embroidered satin with a front gold zip from Erdem’s FW09 collection which you can find on http://www.net-a-porter.com/. The shoes are red suede Louboutin, I got them at J Boutique (Al Aali Mall) not so long ago. The bag, is my new and only obsession, I got this in Paris, and made reference to it in my Paris post from December.
Oh, and if you’re big on comfort. This outfit certainly is.
