Styling at Louis Vuitton’s Senses in Bloom

Last night I had the pleasure of being invited by Louis Vuitton to style at their beautiful Senses in Bloom event held at the Louis Vuitton boutique in Moda Mall.

The event played on senses, focusing on the maison’s legendary line of leather goods, scarves and accessories. The inspiration I drew for styling was from a sizzling1960s summer vacation in the French Riviera. This was quiet suited as the new colours (passion, blue lagoon and rouge grenadine) have actually been inspired by the 1960s.

Clients came in and picked up some of their favorite accessories at high voltage dressing tables. One of my all time favorites is the spring/summer catwalk pouchette (sitting pretty next to blue lagoon), it’s a fantastic summer clutch, or if you’re totally “overdressed” a little make up case for some ultra luxe glamour!

Although the styling was all about being on a French Riviera vacation, one must of course arrive at the destination with an amazing accessory n’est pas? What could be better than a cotton scarf that doubles as a pareo on the beach?! I’d go for leopard, because it is a “neutral” colour, always was and always will be!

Aside from the amazing new handbag colours, the shape of the one below is just right for a summer afternoon stroll, you’ll be keeping it light and bright all the while in punchy passion!

My “star attraction” piece that I fell head over heals for was the Tuileries wedges! Oh mon dieu, these are so totally magnifique on so many levels. The little hearts, the blue, black and white and the raffia detailing in the back make it perfect for, not just your holiday but, anything and everything else! And not forgetting the other colour way of beige, purple and pink!

Finally, each of Louis Vuitton’s client’s walked away with a Polaroid of themselves styled in their favorite items. Here I am with an armful of inclusion bangles, and float your boat earrings…I mean the names alone are enough to make you smile!

Thank you to the Louis Vuitton team in Bahrain, Dubai and Milan for making this possible, and Rozan Ahmed of Bougi for curating a fun evening, and not forgetting talented  photographer Eman Ali.
